2014 Natural Art Freedom To Fish Calendar

Calendar Cover

Picture
I make these calendars as a way to raise awareness about how we can have a much more responsible harvest of our Nation's seafood. The pictures are some I have taken while working around the water without using filters or photoshop. I do not want a handout but I could use a helping hand. Please consider getting a calendar for yourself and giving some as gifts. Thank you for your support.

2013 Natural Art Freedom To Fish Calendar

Cover 2013

Picture
I hope you enjoy the photos I have been blessed with a chance to take while working around the water and during my travels defending our freedom to fish. These calendars are my way of using the talent God gave me and the free market to fight for something I believe in. Please consider getting one for yourself and a few to give as gifts through the year. We have had some great victories over the past two years with the help of people like you. We have stopped the spread of Catch Shares. We have stopped the gamefish bill in NC. We got back our freedom to fish on the majority of our South Atlantic seafloor. We still need to work on limiting the Regulatory Discards in our fisheries and enhancing our resources.  Thank you for your support.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the photos in my 2012 Natural Art Freedom to Fish Calendar. You can purchase a calendar for $7 by clicking the first (top) buy now button or purchase 4 calendars for $20 by clicking the second (bottom) buy now button. It cost me $2 to mail one or $5 to mail four. I will cover the mailing cost and pay the tax. Please consider giving calendars for gifts. I will not be able to continue defending our freedom to fish and eat local seafood unless I can start making enough money to pay my bills. They are stacking up and I will HAVE to start fishing again soon unless I can sell more calendars. The fishing I do requires me to stay at sea for up to four days at a time. It takes most of the rest of my time to prepare for the trips before we leave and to sell the catch when we get back. The boat also has to be cleaned and maintained. I would like to keep doing this full time for about another year. I believe that with your help, we could achieve most of the goals by then. Please feel free to ask me any questions. freefish7@hotmail.com Thank you.

This is a wonderful painting of the Snowy Creek picture in the 2012 Calendar

Picture
Vicki Vitale is the very talented artist who created this masterpiece. I met Vicki as I was traveling around selling my 2012 Calendar and talking with people about some fishery issues. She asked me if she could paint some of my pictures. After seeing some of her work in the New Bern Artworks & Co Gallery at 323 Pollock St. in downtown New Bern North Carolina, I was honored by her request. She told me that she liked what I was doing on the fishery issues and wanted to donate half of the profit from this painting to help me keep fighting. Please stop by the gallery to view this painting and many other great works of art. You could find some unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones or even yourself while supporting local artists and their beautiful gallery that adds charm, character, and class to historic downtown New Bern. Take your family out to see the local art, eat at one of the many fine locally owned restaurants, drink a Pepsi at the place it was invented, and visit Tryon Palace in all it's Colonial Christmas splender before it is closed due to a lack of funds. Please consider shopping at locally owned stores like The Boathouse or the Bern Bear Gift Shop for your Christmas gifts. Multiply your gifts and the value of your dollar by giving locally produced products that show you put some thought into it rather than just giving Chinese token gifts. Your Christmas cheer will overflow and spread to others as you help your neighbors and our local economy with a simple act of kindness. Thank you Vicki for your generous offer and for sharing your talent with the world. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all who read this. Please contact me if you have any questions. naturalart7@hotmail.com

2011 Natural Art Calendar

Picture
This is the 2011 Natural Art calendar with photos I have taken while working on and being around the water. I have been blessed with the chance to see many great things as a fisherman. I believe things are perfect the way GOD made them and I just try to capture those scenes without the use of filters or photoshop. Please consider getting a calendar for yourself and to give as gifts. I can send it directly to you or the person you are giving it to. Your purchase will help me fight for our freedom to responsibly harvest this great Nation's seafood and provide you with access to it.

The cover photo is of a lightning stike and boat house that I had been trying to get during several storms.

January

Picture
This is a picture of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse with the sun shining through and sending up rays of light. I had to run to get in position for this shot. I believe GOD has guided my hand in taking pictures and this photo reminds me of the words Jesus said in Matthew 5:16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

You can purchase this 8x10 print in an 11x14 matte with Matthew 5:16 printed in white at the bottom of the picture.

February

Picture
This is a photo of the Oceana pier on Atlantic Beach after a beautiful snow fall.

March

Picture
This is a photo of the North Harbor in Harkers Island NC. This is an increasingly rare sight as commercial fishermen become an endangered species.

April

Picture
This is a photo of Pelicans that wanted some of the Spots in my net. I fed them a few for letting me take their picture.

May

Picture
This is a photo of the Sister Ocean sail boat with a beautiful pink lightning bolt in the background.

June

Picture
This is a photo of a wild horse running on the beach at Shackleford. My son and I would camp out there. I would set the nets while he set up the tent and then we would go looking for the horses. The time with my son and the great things we were blessed to see were worth more than any boat load of fish.

July

Picture
This is a photo of shrimp boats with a proud new American flag waving in a stiff breeze. July needed to have a flag in it. I love my Country and my GOD given freedoms. I thank all of the brave men and women that have served in the military for defending our Country and our Liberty. GOD bless America.

August

Picture
This is a photo of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse. This shot really shows the beauty of the area with the wind rippled dunes, waving seaoats, and a Carolina blue sky with a few puffy clouds.

September

Picture
This is a photo of a working shrimp boat. We were both catching Greentail Shrimp.

October

Picture
This is a photo of crabs in a collard patch. I heard this saying in a thick downeast accent as kid. The high tide came up and the crabs ate all the collards. My wife was not happy about the collards getting chewed up at the time.

November

Picture
This photo is of a couple of seagulls in different stages of taking to flight. I was picking up conchs that morning. The fog was lifting and the sunlight hit them perfect.

December

Picture
This is a photo of a snapper boat at sunset about 50 miles offshore. I used this photo for December to symbolize the commercial fishing industries fading into the sunset. Please help me fight to keep this from happening.

You can order matted prints of any of these photos by contacting Chris at. naturalart7@hotmail.com

I have a few calendars left that I would like to sell for any price and let people enjoy them instead of having them sit in a box and go out of date. Please contact me at naturalart7@hotmail.com to purchase a calendar. You set the price!
